It's been a long time since we last introduced you to a new single from Luna. Of course, we told you about her in December, when she appeared in a collaboration with Thomas LaVine, another "IMC Family" artist.
But her last solo single dates back to November 2020, it was "Prophecy" and its magnificent music video where our artist had a certain gift of ubiquity.
5 long months of waiting finally ended today with the release of "High Low High Low". Luna takes a big place at Indie Music Center, and you can sometimes feel like you see her everywhere. This is quite normal. In recent months, she joined our team and offers you her selection of songs every Monday in the "Artist Pick" section, in addition to offering you each month in "You Should Really Know These Songs" a best of her best finds for her podcast "Why Doesn't Everyone Know These Songs?".
So three different places for you to enjoy Luna's amazing work, but she's getting rarer on the Artist side. It is therefore with great pleasure that we present her new single to you today.
2020 has been a special year: restrictions, curfews, lockdowns, and sometimes our mood follows this trend: High, Low, High, Low. So the song came naturally for Luna.
Once again, our "Singer-With-The-Hat" (and even sometimes "Singer-With-The-Cat"), handles words with a certain elegance and poetry. I often mentioned "catchy choruses" in my reviews. But it is rare that the verses are as catchy as the choruses. In "High Low High Low", every part is incredibly catchy. And it's very easy to sing along.
I understood that our Spanish artist (future German) had surrounded herself with two big names for the realization of the music video, which will probably come in a few weeks. I can't wait to see the result because I know it will be impressive. I cannot give you more details, I am not the type to betray the confidence of my artists and even less of my team.
In this new single, Luna has (again) set the bar for quality very high. I've been playing it on repeat for weeks and I can't get enough of it. I am sure you will do the same.
