When we heard the first notes of "Full Speed" by Brian Mikasa, we already knew that we would like it.

The impact of an electric guitar followed by a piano makes a huge effect!

And then this delicate voice begins to sing words written to perfection and in an impressive accuracy.

When the violins arrive after 1:20, we understand that we are dealing with a versatile musician.

And at 1:39, the voice, pretty shy until then, is revealed in masterful flights.

The second verse marks a return to calm and restraint.

Return of the electric guitar at 3:02 to remind us that it is above all a rock song.

Brian Mikasa is a nice surprise, and we got into his universe. We listened to the whole album "Kill Like An Animal", and we got a slap.

The artist from Ventura, California, masters his art to perfection.

The album contains electro, rock, rap ... Brian is comfortable ... in everything!

Everything is well placed and clean. One of our big favorites of the year.

We expect 77°F in California this afternoon. A very good reason to go check it out, especially since there is a wonderful band called The Mowgli's. Let's go warm up there to discover their new single "Wasting Time", accompanied by a very emotional video. It was in 2013 that the band made a name for itself on a large scale, with "San Francisco", whose music video has accumulated more than 4 million views on Youtube to date. As for "I'm Good", if we combine the video lyrics and the official music video, we exceed 5 million plays! Pretty scores that make you dizzy, and we wish "Wasting Time" the same fate! And with more than 18 million views of their Youtube channel, and with more than 45,000 subscribers, there is no doubt that this single will have the impact it deserves. The group has evolved well since its beginnings, which we were able to follow ourselves a few years ago. The melodies are real anthems, each time, and the writing is done more and more carefully. And "Wasting Time" really stands out! With backing vocals already present in the intro, the song benefits from a percussive bass line, which, coupled with a delicate rhythmic, already makes us shake our heads during the first verse. You don't have to wait more than a minute for a powerful chorus to land, which will stay in your head for hours. With a song mastered to perfection, and with impeccable accuracy, the group takes us into their pop universe, where each note is placed like a Mikado piece. The song is built little by little, until a final in apotheosis, filled with good-feeling, feeling reinforced by the high quality video. The emotional power of this song is incredible. You'll love the gradual rise to a stunning final. And it deserved a "Song of the Month" feature. "Run Like Hell" is an anthem. America's Got Talent finalist Taylor Mathews offers us a masterpiece. His voice is so sweet, so pleasant to listen, that, with this unusual heat in France, we would fall asleep at the sound of this beautiful melody, and dream of infinite landscapes. The melody, let's talk about it! Simply divine. Whether verses or choruses, the melody is incredibly catchy! It can be learned easily even before the end of the first listening. The production is clean, and the track sounds so professional... We really hope that this new single will internationally launch the career of the young singer. Voila notre chanson du mois pour le mois de mars. Un joli bonbon tout rose, de quoi nous remonter le moral pour le printemps qui approche. Un morceau comme ça, ça donne envie d'allumer un feu sur la plage, et de danser autour! The Eiffels, trois beaux gosses venus de Los Angeles, nous offrent ce morceau dynamique, aux accents très 80's et à la foi très modernes. Un mélange très réussi puisque le morceau nous a séduit dès les premières secondes. Si vous avez un peu de temps, profitez-en pour jeter une oreille sur leurs autres morceaux, disponibles sur Spotify et Soundcloud. Nous, on a testé, et on a adoré TOUS les titres. Here is our song of the month for March. A pretty pink candy, enough to cheer us up for the coming spring. A track like that makes you want to light a fire on the beach, and dance around! The Eiffels, three beautiful guys from Los Angeles, offer us this dynamic song, with very 80's accents and also a very modern touch. A very successful mix since the track seduced us from the first seconds. If you have some time, have a listen to their other tracks available on Spotify and Soundcloud. On our side, we tried, and we loved ALL the tracks. We would never be able to choose a favorite. The Eiffels are our new idols. February has Valentine's Day, so it was inevitable that the song of the month would be a beautiful love declaration! And here is Niclas Lundin from Sweden, with "Something About You". The words can not be clearer: "You're the sea and you're the sky, You're the dark and you're the light, I can't explain it, it's just quite amazing. You're my calm and you're my storm, You're everything I've dreamed of and more, There's just something about you". With a great melody that stays in the head for hours after a single listening, Niclas Lundin signs a very strong and powerful song here. Despite he has unique voice, Niclas had, until now, remained in the shadow, writing for Martin Garrix, among others. And taking the microphone was the better idea he had. Now we need an album! "Something About You" is available on Spotify. And we couldn't resist the pleasure of sharing a second jewel, from the same artist, below.

Voila notre première chanson du mois pour 2018! Au cas où vous ne le sauriez pas, Marié Digby a été propulsée sur le devant de la scène lorsque sa reprise acoustique du titre de Rihanna "Umbrella" est devenue virale sur Youtube.

Cela a fait un tel buzz que Hollywood Records a sorti son premier album, "Unfold", qui a fait son entrée en 29ème position du Billboard 200 Album Chart en avril 2008.

Près d'un demi-million de fans plus tard, un nouvel EP sera disponible le 9 février, dont voici le premier extrait, une jolie ballade toute en douceur et en simplicité.

C'est super professionnel et incroyablement bien produit. Cela dit, c'est produit par Bryan Cook (U2, OneRepublic, Train, rien que ça!).

Sa voix nous enchante du début à la fin, sur une mélodie facile à retenir et très agréable. Quelques notes bienvenues pour commencer la semaine du bon pied.

Here is our first "Song of The Month" for 2018! In case you didn't know, Marié Digby burst onto the scene when her acoustic cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella" went viral on YouTube.

The associated buzz led Hollywood Records to release her debut album, Unfold, and it debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart in April of 2008.

Nearly half a million fans later, a new EP will be available on February 9th, which comes from this first extract, a pretty ballad in all its softness and simplicity.

It's super professional and incredibly well produced. There's a good reason: it's produced by Bryan Cook (U2, OneRepublic, Train, just that!).

Her voice enchants us from beginning to end, on an very pleasant and easy-to-remember melody. Some beautiful notes, which are welcome, to start the week off right.

Quand vous voyagez autour du monde autant que Marcus Friman, notre artiste du jour, venu de Suède, le voyage vous change de façon si profonde qu'il commence à devenir introspectif à un moment donné.

Vos luttes passées et intérieures se transforment en points de repère, qui se mettent à jour lentement mais régulièrement à chaque fois que vous y repensez.

Sur ce morceau, l'expédition emmène l'artiste dans les terres rudes de la douleur ineffaçable.

Nous retrouvons chez Land of Trees ce goût de la musique naturelle, sans instruments artificiels, et sans synthés à tout bout de chant.

La voix est tout juste magnifique, et surtout unique. On le dit souvent, mais pour un artiste, c'est toujours un avantage énorme d'être reconnu à sa voix dès la première seconde.

Tout en nous rappelant un peu Passenger (souvenez-vous de "Let Her Go" il y a quelques années), Land of Trees, c'est un univers bien particulier, et qui lui est propre.

Et on s'y sent bien. C'est chaleureux, c'est confortable, et on en redemande. C'est pour ça qu'on vous la propose en chanson du mois. Parce qu'on ne s'en lasse pas.

When we have chills after only 2 seconds, we can say that it is our song of the month (and for once, that of November). Right in the Indie Music Center concept. The incredible voice of Freya Ridings calls out to us from the first second and makes us stop whatever we are doing. There is vocally a little London Grammar side, which we will not hide. And musically, the melody is just amazing. Freya comes to us from London, is only 23 years old, and released a first single called "Blackout" last May. And she's already blasted a million streams on Spotify. Like what, we are not mistaken! There are some artists who make you take off in just a few seconds, and without falling for almost 4 minutes. They are rare to be able to do so. And they're only on Indie Music Center. We are delighted that Freya Ridings is part of it, and we can promise you one thing: you will hear from her soon... EVERYWHERE! Bet?

Grâce à cette chanson, on a eu envie de créer une rubrique "Song of the Month". Parce que franchement, on a eu un gros gros coup de coeur quand on l'a reçue. C'était il y a une semaine. On a explosé le bouton "Replay". On était comme des fous. Et quand on a vu que ça sortait QUE le 19 octobre, on a serré les dents. Quel supplice d'attendre une semaine pour partager cette merveille avec vous. 

Alors pourquoi ce morceau nous a marqué? Tout simplement parce qu'il rentre exactement dans le concept de "Music For Your Heart". Et à 100%.

Pour bien comprendre en détail, on vous invite à faire comme nous, lors de la première écoute : asseyez-vous, branchez un casque, et montez le volume assez fort.

Beth Mendès marque un premier point dans les premières secondes de la chanson grâce à sa voix. Singulière. Unique. Agréable. On entend pas des voix comme ça tous les jours. Et pour un artiste, être reconnaissable facilement dès les premières notes, c'est un grand avantage. Très peu peuvent s'en vanter.

Ensuite, deuxième point : les paroles et l'élocution. Même si vous n'êtes pas bilingue, vous pourrez facilement comprendre les paroles car l'élocution est parfaite pour les français que nous sommes.

Sur un côté plus technique, maintenant, Beth marque encore un point. Dès les premières phrases, vous entendrez une petite reverb (pour les non-initiés, c'est une sorte de petite résonnance) combinée à un léger écho stéréo. D'habitude, les artistes ont la facheuse tendance à en abuser. Et au final on se retrouve avec des chants "en direct des toilettes". Là, ce n'est pas trop. Juste ce qu'il faut. Bravo.

Puis, quatrième point, important dans une chanson, les paroles. Certes, c'est une chanson de rupture, mais Beth Mendes ne se contente pas du classique "je t'aimais, c'est fini, on va chialer". Non.
Elle y va cash : "pourquoi t'as merdé avec moi?" ou encore "pourquoi c'était si facile de briser mon coeur?".

Cinquième point, encore plus important. Les mélodies. Dans un morceau, nous distingons deux mélodies : la mélodie instrumentale et la mélodie chantée. De nos jours, c'est rare quand ça matche. Bah là... si.
La mélodie reste facilement en tête, et c'est encore un énorme avantage pour un artiste, car quelqu'un qui a aimé la chanson va la chanter, la fredonner. Puis susciter la curiosité de celui qui l'entend. Et voila comment on se fait de la promo gratuitement et simplement : le bouche à oreilles.

Enfin, sixième point, la vidéo qui accompagne la chanson. Parfaitement réussie. Pas surjouée. Une ambiance feutrée et un éclairage maîtrisé qui met en beauté le visage angélique de la protagoniste.

Bref, vous l'aurez compris, Beth a tapé dans le mille.

On a écouté la chanson 7 fois en écrivant l'article. On s'est même fait déconnecter du site et on a dû recommencer une deuxième fois toute l'écriture. Eh non, ça sauvegarde pas. Pas grave, on nous y reprendra plus.
