What I like, having created this lovely community, is the kind of "chain reaction" that we set off. To jog your memory, here's a quick recap. We have in our team Luna Keller, a fantastic songwriter who's also a member of the IMC Family (Artists we trust the most, after 5 features). Luna introduced us to Jacqueline Loor, who joined the IMC Family last month. Then Jacqueline Loor introduced us to Marina Bennett. What happened next? Marina Bennett introduced us to Willow Stephens. And guess what? Sabrina Carmen worked with Willow Stephens. The chain continues.

From the first seconds of "Dreaming Wide Awake", when you discover the voice of Sabrina Carmen, you stay with your mouth wide open and you just tell yourself "oh wow". A crystal clear voice, very comfortable, and which also makes us feel at ease. As if we had just sat on a cloud. Let's go on a magical adventure!

When the chorus is revealed, we discover that our artist has an incredible vocal range. So at ease, even in the highest notes, Sabrina even makes us reach the stratosphere with her magnificent vocal flights. But it is when the second chorus comes that we then perceive all the vocal power of the young woman.

With a very poetic background, "Dreaming Wide Awake" invites you on a magical, almost mystical journey, between dreams and reality, with a very positive message with a light and pure atmosphere.

When we reoriented the platform in 2017 towards strong emotions, we did not expect to receive so much from our artists. They will always amaze us.

And even more amazing: this single is only the second single from Sabrina Carmen. As much to tell you that you will still have chills for a long time with her

Sabrina lost her mother to breast cancer when she was 13. And since then, her passion for writing has never left her. A common point with Ryan Nealon, who had moved us to tears a few weeks ago with the music video of "Not Coming Home". We are delighted to see that music helps people cope with the terrible tragedies of life. I also admit that without Indie Music Center, I would have struggled to cope with my GF's cancer in 2016.

Life is made of surprises. Sometimes good. Sometimes bad. But I remember a line the character Beth said in "This Is Us" TV series: "Tragedies are the only foundation of our lives."

Sabrina opened the doors of her universe to us, made of poetry, reverie, and delicacy. "Dreaming Wide Awake" is out today and is only the beginning of the next chapter of her incredible adventure. Thanks for the thrills!

Don't panic, you are not hallucinating or seeing double. Have you ever seen this pretty girl somewhere? Or do you feel like you've heard this incredible voice before? It's normal, we already introduced you to Jenny Colquitt last week, since she just released "Tornado" with her group ELY.

It is now solo that we invite you to discover her with her new single "Shape" which highlights mental health issues in beauty. An emotionally powerful song, which perfectly matches the voice of the London singer. Although she mentioned Alanis Morissette or Adele in her influences, when I hear the chorus of "Shape", I can only recall good memories. Because it takes me back to 15 years ago, when we discovered the same energy with Kelly Clarkson. And vocally, we are not very far.

But Jenny has that little extra touch of authenticity which means that you can only fall in love with her music. Her honest interpretation and perfectly mastered writing have made her a solid fan base. We have been following her for several months on Twitch, and we have been able to find in Jenny someone generous, who does not count her time to satisfy her audience.

Very comfortable vocally, the singer delivers in "Shape" an incomparable performance, and once again proves to us that the piano + electric guitar combo works perfectly with the emotions. Thrills are guaranteed thanks to a powerful and catchy melody that won't want to leave your head for hours.

And you can trust us, having programmed music on the radio for almost 20 years, you can tell when a song has potential. And this one could explode everything.

Well, it's pretty hard to believe, but this song is only Tom Joseph's second single. The artist comes from Austria, and offers us a magnificent indie-folk ballad, which begins with the sound of flowing water and the song of birds. The enchanting decor is set, the artist just has to do the rest and he does it very easily, thanks to a very warm voice, which is worth all the gold in the world. Very comforting, Tom gives us an optimistic message, with magnificent vocal harmonies and remarkable ease. You will enjoy this little trip in nature with these positive waves. You don't need a huge production to take advantage of the full range of Tom Joseph's talents. A few discreet additional guitar elements in the background and a trumpet tune will convince you that it's a beautiful day. A little folk jewel that will delight ears eager for lightness.

Lennon VanderDoes - Wake Up

Let's go from Austria to Arizona to meet Lennon Vanderdoes. Much inspired by his travels on the west coast, the artist fell in love with the indie-folk genre and made it his best ally. The artist admits that he sometimes has trouble controlling all of his positive energy and "Wake Up" is a bit like his energy. A volcano that erupts from time to time, and which gradually reveals sublime vocal harmonies. This song is definitely a hymn to happiness and will help you enjoy your day even more. Only downside, the only 3:12 of the track. We would have enjoyed it a minute longer. But nothing prevents listening to it all day and shooting the replay button. We feel in Lennon's music all the positive energy of the "Northern Pines" evoked by Ben Greenberg. This good energy, that smells of pine sap and iodine from nearby beaches, you got it? Just close your eyes, and here you are.

Maja - Get There

Let's cross the planet completely now and go to Australia to meet Maja. The song is about the journey of moving on from something that's not necessarily good for you. As Luna sang in "I Don't Know Where I'm Going" 3 years ago, Maja admits that she also doesn't know where she is going, but that she will get there soon. While the song is about unpredictability, I was incredibly blown away by Maja's incredible vocal performance and the warm backing vocals that accompany her. The serbian-born singer has built a rather incredible musical universe, I would say "unique", into which we can easily dive. The good news is if you want to hear more from this magician of words, her Spotify is chock-full of incredible nuggets that she's released over the past six years. And I won't hide it from you, her voice gave me chills, because, at times, I thought I heard Amy Winehouse and her incredible soul. Maja really has something special. Perhaps a very strong addictive power!

Lewis McLaughlin - Summer

Now here is an astonishing mix of rock and alt-folk from the UK. When we heard the first few seconds of "Summer", Lewis McLaughlin's new single, we thought, "what the hell is that?" Starting acapella, the song is built up gradually, until a final epic. Evoking the simple pleasures of youth, this song is best enjoyed on the beach, at sunset, with a few friends. The construction of the song, very original, stands out from the submissions that we usually receive, and makes this song worth lingering and listening to it several times to finally ... be completely addicted. To put in all the curious ears which want something else than what we usually hear on the radio (not on ours, of course). Unfortunately, not much is known about this incredible artist, because we had no information. We can just deduce one thing: it's a UFO and we can't wait to find out what he will release next!

This is the third time that the Australian Zander Rhodes has come to see us, accompanied by his dream landscapes, turquoise water, and sandy beaches.

And always with this recognizable sound, very acoustic, and with a lot of lightness. "The Only Way I Know" was released on Friday, and has already mesmerized us.

With good vibes right from the intro, the track is your perfect companion for a relaxing Sunday watching the waves crash onto the beach. With a very effective hook on the chorus and positive waves, Zander Rhodes seduces with a unique vocal identity. As soon as you hear that voice, you know it's Zander.

Living in the simplest way, enjoying every moment ... we all need to get away from it all a bit and make room for more lightness in this world which is becoming a bit of rubbish.

Rich and Stephie met in 2019 in an original way: on Twitter! Coming from the United Kingdom, they shower this world with their tasty and joyful electro-pop.

Their new single "Chase That High" is out today. And it's probably their most catchy single. With an intro that starts off on hats, reminiscent of good pop songs from the early 2000s (like Sophie Ellis Bextor, or September), the duo immediately creates an atmosphere that makes you want to take the mirror balls out of the boxes and dust them off.

Dust off. This is exactly the right word. We can say that Constellation Prize dusted off the genre, a little flouted in recent years. Back to basics, with synth sounds and a powerful bassline, and incredibly mastered vocals.

If you want to spend time with someone you love, this could be the perfect anthem. To release this kind of jewel at the end of July is in our opinion a stroke of genius. Because the track is perfect for long summer evenings on the beach, in case you have an irresistible urge to jump in the air and let yourself go. But the song is just as conducive to a road trip along the coast. It's up to you to create your decor, and Constellation Prize will take care of the rest!

Unlike legendary electronic duos like Daft Punk, our two geographically distant English friends work using modern communication tools: "We live 300 miles apart, so it's not always easy to meet up, especially now. Hashing out ideas over Zoom and Twitter is how we've always done it. It's a lot of back and forth and tweaking until we settle on a sound, but we've got it down to a fine art ".

This is further proof that this damn virus will never stop creativity. We wish them great remote creation sessions. If it's to offer us this level of quality every time, we're up for it!

We have known Wild Rivers for 5 years now, since their eponymous album in 2016. Moreover, their songs are still playing on our radio station every day.

It is therefore with great pleasure that we welcome this fantastic trio for the release of their new single "Weathermen".

The song starts from a very original idea. It is true that all our projects are based more or less on the weather. But can we really trust the weathermen for everything?

As the band said, "This song came out of a conversation we had about how you can never trust the weather forecast. It was this funny idea that led to a conversation about things in life that we see as a certainty, and how rarely true that is. We talk a lot about making plans and a deep desire for control. Not only is this futile, but it also completely takes you out of the present. 'Weathermen' is a reminder to us to appreciate the moment… that we're just right.

After the tough times we've all been through, it's obvious that we all need good vibes, sunshine, and vitamin C. Wild Rivers is once again delighting us, with wonderful vocal harmonies, while refreshing us with consistently excellent production quality and writing that is both light and punchy. If you lack self-confidence, here is a song that just might give you courage and motivation to move on.

Laura Nicholson is actually based in Nashville and started music at a young age! She was only 13 when she received her very first guitar. And the first song she wrote was called "I Can't Wait To Be Sixteen". After growing up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Laura moved to Nashville, which was obvious to her.

Her debut single is called "Bluebird" and is released today. This is the first track of an EP that will be released a little later and that we had the chance to listen to. We can already tell you that you will love it! "Bluebird" is like an open letter to a young woman in a perpetual struggle with her demons and her fears. So many of you will relate to this song because we all have doubts and fears.

And Laura debuted her music in Nashville at ... the Bluebird Cafe. Like a nod to her own career, since the singer had to leave everything to settle in Music City. A big change in her life, which, of course, brought on the table a lot of questions, doubts, and uncertainties.

With a unique, sweet, and warm voice, Laura wowed us in just a few seconds. Her writing seems simple but the emotion is reflected above all in the sincere interpretation and without artifice. The colorful and luminous melody adds to Laura the ray of sunshine that she lacked to obtain the perfect folk ballad.

Gebrasy is a Lithuanian singer-songwriter. He started writing songs when he was 10, and now - at 26 years old - has 16 years of experience in songwriting. When he looks back at the songs he wrote up to the age of 16, Gebrasy would probably burn them because they were not that great. That’s a feeling we can find in a lot of our artists, to be honest… Self-confidence problem. Cause I’m sure there are a lot of gems in these old songs. Artists are always the worst judges ever about their own music. And it always makes me laugh even more when they shyly send me a masterpiece saying "it's crap, but tell me what you think" ... Anyway, it was just for the record.

When it comes to storytelling, Gebrasy likes to be inspired. He thinks about all sorts of things - from his favorite artists or movies - and translate those inspirations into lyrics. He releases music mainly in English with some songs in Lithuanian, because it's pretty difficult promoting music in English where he comes from. We have the same feeling here. It is true that often our friends or our family encourage us to sing in our native language, so that they can understand the meaning of the lyrics. But do we make music for those around us? If you want to be able to cross borders, you have to make the effort to sing in English, even if it is not an easy exercise, I can confirm it, since you are reading an article in English when it is not my native language either!

Unfortunately, the world is made up of invisible barriers that sometimes tend to prevent us from achieving our dreams. Unless we hang on and fight. And Gebrasy did well to fight, because his talent is universal. Moreover, he ended up as a finalist of the ESC in Lithuania with "Where‘d You Wanna Go?" this year. Proof that there is enormous potential in Gebrasy. You can watch the whole performance below:

Today, he presents his new single "Resolution", for which he just released a great music video just a few days ago.

And we can say that the writing theme fits perfectly with what we have just explained to you. The song is indeed about leaving everything behind, taking risks, and moving forward.

With impressive vocals, because Gebrasy is comfortable in all tones, and moving lyrics, the artist seduced us in just a few seconds thanks to a catchy melody and a very high production quality.

The music video reminds us of a fundamental principle: you can go wherever you want, if you don't fix the problems you have with yourself, you will take them everywhere.

Very creative, this Lithuanian artist is one to watch because 2021 could be his year. That's all we can wish him. On our side, we are already won over.

After Len Dreams, we're going to stay in the Netherlands! Charmplay is a band that we discovered at the beginning of May with their previous single "Sunshine". A real gem full of good summer vibes that we continue to play on the radio every day.

And today, Charmplay has just released "Rush", another summery anthem to letting go and rediscovered freedom. Incredibly catchy, the melody is worked out to the smallest detail and we rose from our chair to dance in less than a minute.

Today, the indie-pop discoveries that give us so much motivation are rather rare on IMC. To be honest, we were even starting to despair ... Until our radar release offered us this rare gem.

"No way to stop me now" is the phrase that opens a powerful chorus to frenzied guitar riffs. Production quality is always at the highest level with Charmplay.

Visually, the band also takes care of its presentation with visuals that are always on top, full of pastel colors, which can only catch the eye easily. We sincerely believe that these four little guys have it all. It just lacks the spark that will make their music rocket on the international indie scene. Grab your lighters, let's light the fuse together!

At IMC you know that we love contrasts. In Louis Pax's new single, "Motion", released today, the contrast between melancholy lyrics and uplifting melody is quite surprising.

Even if the song evokes a rather difficult separation, it remains on a positive note, thanks to an incredibly bright and catchy melody. The Swedish band, which has just changed its name (you knew them previously as Royal Prospect), is therefore making a resounding comeback. 

This avalanche of Swedish talent on IMC in recent weeks is quite impressive. We have the impression that there is a nest of wonders in this country!

After releasing 9 singles, 2020 reshuffled the cards, like many people, and the band wanted to take off and become completely independent so they left their label: "We felt the need to redefine our sound and produce our own music. To manage to do this we felt we needed a fresh start from everything we had associated ourselves with musically in the past". New sound and new people in their musical environment, here they are ready to face the "after".

"Motion" benefits from truly exceptional production quality. It's definitely professional sound. Every note is in its place, every little detail brings its little something extra, and the vocals are perfectly mastered.

The writing is superb and foreshadows a rather promising future for this new format for Louis Pax.

We must admit that French artists are rare on IMC. And I (the creator of the platform) regret it because in our country of origin we have many talented artists and bands for you to discover. After Indolore on April 30 and Willo on May 3, there was like ... a ditch.

Here is Telegraph, a trio from Paris, which seduced us in just a few seconds. Julien's voice opens the track with disconcerting ease. And from the twenty-third second, you're going to start shaking your head. There's no point in lying, I can see you already doing it from the other side of the screen. A warm voice, placed on frenzied guitars, set the scene.

An obvious sense of nostalgia shines through the song: that moment when you realize that after a lot of hardships and obstacles, it's time to come home. At a time when the world is gradually regaining its freedom, and after more than a year of restrictive measures, we all need escape and freedom. This song is an anthem to freedom and the final part makes us want to give it all up for an endless road trip.

"Time To Come Home" is incredibly powerful, with its addictive melody, very high-quality production, and perfectly mastered vocal harmonies. A real gem halfway between indie-folk and indie-pop that will satisfy your ears and make you want to kill the replay button. Ours is already dead. RIP.

At IMC, we like things that are simple but effective. Short verses, short choruses, this is what Isaac Chan offers in "Lifelong". The artist is from Hong Kong. As far back as we can remember, it seems we've only been to Hong Kong once or twice in the history of our platform, so we can say it's an event, and we are delighted to meet this young and talented artist.

"Lifelong" is the story of a young man who wants to change. He reassures himself by telling himself that these latest failures are only a step, after all, and that they won't last for a lifetime.

A pretty acoustic folk ballad, with a touch of violin which brings a whole new dimension to the song. Lots of poetry in the lyrics and a soft, pleasant voice. The quality is obviously very high and despite a decent length of 4:15, the song felt short when it ended. But that's okay, you can always use the play button again. That's what we did. Several times. Isaac Chan is addicting.

This is the third single on IMC for I Am Nova, the duo from Sweden. And it seems that they have taken a turning point in their career. Here they are back with incredible vocal harmonies, a little more electronic energy, and above all a contagiously good mood.

If there is one virus that we would like to catch, it's this one. The two previous singles had already made us dance. But now, we promise you, you will literally leave the ground.

"Don't Wait Up" is incredibly catchy, powerful, and the chorus' efficient hook is irresistible. Some purists will tell you that they are going astray. I would answer them that it is by taking new directions that we reach the final destination. See how many different genres Coldplay have used. And they're still there, more than 20 years later.

In this song, there is a certain nonchalance in David that I really like. An exceptional lightness, as if a friend took you by the hand and said "come on, who cares, let's have some fun".

We have all just gone through a period that could not be more negative. We are finally starting to see the tunnel light at last and we all need to release the pressure and find everything that we have been missing for almost 18 months.

As David told us "It's a song which I hope people will get stuck in their heads, and enjoy at face value. But if they look deeper, they'll find it's maybe not as pretty as it sounds". Exactly! There is a hidden message in this song. Can you find it?

Anyway, it seems that "Boomshot" is the official anthem of our newfound freedom! In any case, it's a good start. The song had the effect of a bomb on us. We immediately wanted to leave our chair to dance. And you are probably going to do the same. Come on, let's release the pressure, turn up the volume, and let go completely, at least for the next four minutes, if not, like us, you are fans of the replay button.
