Conscious Dutch singer-songwriter Sven Ross writes modern folk stories to help us deal with contemporary life. Weaving thoughtful lyrics with organic instruments, Sven creates an oasis of peace and reflection in uncertain times of social acceleration and climate threats.

All major problems in the world stem from unhappy people seeking happiness in the wrong things…but songs can start a change.

Initially on the way to become a primary education teacher, Sven Ross could no longer pretend that music was a side thing. He changed course and moved to London to pursue a career in music. It is there that he slowly drowned out the inner voice telling him making art could never be a serious profession. He refined his melodic sensibilities and fingerstyle guitar playing, but above all, discovered he could use his songwriting abilities to help himself and others find meaning and contribute to a better world.
