Hello, lovely indie music fans. Niko here! I've been quite silent these last weeks, that's true. 2 weeks ago, I announced the arrival of a new baby in the coming weeks. While my little daughter isn’t here yet (we’re eagerly awaiting her arrival!), my desk has now officially turned into her nursery. But that hasn’t stopped me from putting the finishing touches on another “baby” that has been in the works for 3 years, and that I am thrilled to reveal to you today.
Yes, after 3 years of graphic design, writing, layout, drafts, and plenty of headaches, we’ve finally arrived at the very first issue of Niko's Music Magazine. It will be released on November 5th, with a new issue available on Patreon on the 5th of each month. Niko's Music Magazine is only available in digital format. This allows me to keep subscription costs low and reach a global audience. I looked into potential printing options, but the prices are quite prohibitive. Additionally, shipping costs abroad would require working with printers on every continent, which would make things complicated. Moreover, printing that much paper goes against my ecological values, as I strive to reduce my carbon footprint as much as possible. The high quality of the provided PDF file should allow you to go to your local printer and print it if you'd like, though.
Now, let me explain what's about to come in just 10 days from now!
- Niko's Music Magazine – A monthly magazine to give you the best of indie music, featuring every month: an in-depth exclusive interview with a wonderful indie artist, 16 music reviews, and lyrics to sing along! Plus, a new section for travel: one artist will give us a tour of their hometown! And of course, no magazine would be complete without a game, so we’ve put together a custom game to test your indie music knowledge. Subscriptions are open on Patreon! You will get 2 free issues per year if you subscribe, compared to buying the magazine issue by issue each month.
- Niko's Music Mixtape – A monthly virtual CD to accompany the magazine. The best indie tracks of the month will be handpicked to give you those goosebumps you've been seeking on IMC for a few years!
- Extended Play - This is a podcast including the audio version of the magazine interview, in case you want to feel the spirit of how the interview was recorded, and feel that incredible connection with the artist.
