After a swim in a cold lake and a battle against the reaper in the forest, the travel agency Luna Keller invites you for a bike ride on the paths of Latvia for its new discovery trip "Lighter Than Before".
Of course, this is just a metaphor to remind us that this song is chapter 9 of the album "Ocean Inside Of Me", whose adventure ends soon with the release of the album next month (and we will occasionally have a nice surprise for you).
If you have followed the previous episodes, this album tells the true story of this young girl in the grip of a terrible depression, which will lead her to sink before rediscovering that life is not so bad, after all. A long-standing project, in which each song is accompanied by a music video, all financed by the wonderful community of fans and supporters that Luna Keller has managed to create over the years.
“Lighter Than Before” is undoubtedly the folkiest and brightest song of this musical epic, in which the artist rediscovers herself and recovers from a very dark period. And the first verse sets the tone: “The sun feels warm on my skin / Feel the air / Hear it sing / What a beautiful day to begin". Yes, the Luna who wakes up at the beginning of the song and the music video is different. She displays a big smile on her face which is so nice to see, we have almost shed a tear.
Like a rebirth, “Lighter Than Before” definitively buries the dark side of the artist to leave it where it belongs: behind her. And once again, the symbolism is very strong in this new music video with intelligent winks and obvious links with the other songs. First of all, this white dress that she finds hanging on a tree, the same dress with which she found herself immersed in a lake at the end of the first chapter, at a temperature so low that one would not soak in it. Not even a toe.
Then behind the dress hides a mirror. What is it doing here, you might think? It's a nod to next month's last chapter: "Woman In My Mirror". Clever. The creative spirit of Luna Keller is so brilliant and astonishing with each release, that it suggests that she will undoubtedly mark her generation and leave an indelible mark on this planet. Isn't that our common goal, after all?
