If you lack self-confidence, here is a song that just might give you courage and motivation to move on.
Laura Nicholson is actually based in Nashville and started music at a young age! She was only 13 when she received her very first guitar. And the first song she wrote was called "I Can't Wait To Be Sixteen". After growing up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Laura moved to Nashville, which was obvious to her.
Her debut single is called "Bluebird" and is released today. This is the first track of an EP that will be released a little later and that we had the chance to listen to. We can already tell you that you will love it! "Bluebird" is like an open letter to a young woman in a perpetual struggle with her demons and her fears. So many of you will relate to this song because we all have doubts and fears.
And Laura debuted her music in Nashville at ... the Bluebird Cafe. Like a nod to her own career, since the singer had to leave everything to settle in Music City. A big change in her life, which, of course, brought on the table a lot of questions, doubts, and uncertainties.
With a unique, sweet, and warm voice, Laura wowed us in just a few seconds. Her writing seems simple but the emotion is reflected above all in the sincere interpretation and without artifice. The colorful and luminous melody adds to Laura the ray of sunshine that she lacked to obtain the perfect folk ballad.
Added to our Main Spotify Playlist, our "Uplifting Vibes" playlist, and played daily on Indie Music Center's Radio.

Lyrics
Another day in the sun but the cat’s got your tongue and it’s holding you down
You got so much to say but you're afraid to say it out loud
You’re up in your head, girl you’re a mess,
you're stressing me out
How does something you love, turn into no fun and rain on your parade?
You were born to shine under the bright city lights, now you're hanging in the shade,
Yeah you're hanging in the shade
Hey, bluebird, I heard, you don’t like to sing
girl, you’d fly sky high,
If you’d just trust your wings
‘stead of sittin’ there like you don’t care
Not sayin' a single word
It’s caging you, making you the bluest bird
Where’s the brave little girl, said she’d conquer the world, hit the yellow brick road?
Who stole your emerald crown, filled your heart with doubt
And silenced your soul? Baby where did you go?
Hey, bluebird, I heard, you don’t like to sing
girl, you’d fly sky high,
If you’d just trust your wings
‘stead of sittin’ there like you don’t care
Not sayin' a single word
It’s caging you, making you the bluest bird
Oh, feel the rhythm, find your tune
You don’t need your Ruby shoes
Unleash your soul sing my dear
The music lives inside of you
Hey, bluebird, I heard, you don’t like to sing
girl, you’d fly sky high,
If you’d just trust your wings
‘stead of sittin’ there like you don’t care
Not sayin' a single word
It’s caging you, making you the bluest bird
It’s caging you, making you the bluest bird
