There are artists you can afford to bet everything on. The Bergamot is definitely one of them since it's their 5th visit to Indie Music Center. We can start talking about "regulars". And this is quite normal. Because listening to several songs from The Bergamot is like opening a book.
A book where each chapter tells a different story and touches us deep within ourselves. The Brooklyn-based husband-wife duo is working hard to create a unique musical universe for themselves. And it shows. And it gets along. Hours or even days of work must have been necessary for this video to see the light of day.
Produced in full animation, the video (and the song of course) tells of a 50,000-mile journey across the United States. A divided country filled with drug addiction, gun violence, and depression. The song was designed with the aim of restoring hope to a nation that seems to have lost it.
As the band says, " It is vital that groups and other professions do their part to tear down the walls of fear and hate that we have built over the past 4 years ."
A strong, punchy message, delivered by a melody once again very worked and very charged in emotions. We introduced you to The Bergamot in July 2019 as a band to follow. And last December, we promised you that we would talk to you about them several times in 2020. We weren't wrong.
