Some people will tell you that music is part of their life. That's my case. The music is there, almost 24/7. Even in my dreams, there is music. If you've read the "About" section, you know what I'm talking about.

Music has been part of my daily life for over 25 years now (yes, I bought my first CD in 1996). I often associate it with very specific periods in my life, or with memories. I think we all do that. We all have a song that reminds us of an event, a period, or a person.

And then, there are these songs that come at the right time. When you really need it. For Kindred Connection, without them even knowing about it... It happened.

“Some Kind of Dream” is about the loss of a loved one. I agreed to make you discover this wonderful song full of emotion because I thought that it could help some of you who have gone through this kind of difficulty.

Except ... between the time I fell in love with the song and the time this article was published, my father's wife died. For the past few days, I have felt all his sadness and I am doing my best to accompany him in this difficult ordeal. But obviously, I couldn't put myself in his shoes and know exactly what he's feeling right now and what's in his head.

This song was therefore of great help to me. The lyrics are breathtakingly beautiful. A little lost between sadness and despair. And the melody is sad but at the same time of rare sweetness, as if it enveloped you with its invisible arms to say to you "you see, I am here".

Obviously, this is a situation that one cannot wish anyone to go through. But we must also remain lucid and be aware that this does not happen only to others.

Thank you Kindred Connection, you have achieved what all musicians dream about: creating a song that accompanies people through the trials of life.
